So, first off Matthew from Leaside Plumbing and Heating got to our house in the east end faster than I could clear a path in the basement (we're doing some reno's) for him! WOW. Matthew, as we later learned, was lightening fast on the phone recognizing intuitively that a family with a bunch of kids needed help, and the gas back on, and again, he got here remarkably fast. He worked methodically, and intelligently, upgraded our gas shut off valves to some industrial level levers and was pleasant, polite and capable. IMHO. I'm thinking more and more we should be trying hard to support smaller business that genuinely care. People taking care of people, We were very happy with Matthews service, again he was here quickly, but worked methodically, made a bunch of upgrades, and it was still gonna be cheaper and better than if we let Enercare enter our house with a 2 person crew min 2-3 maybe 4 hours at $175 per hour per man on a product they installed less than 18 months ago! How did we get our gas shut off you ask? Enbridge has been sending us mail for months asking to change some part of our meter. We thought it was an upgrade or we were helping the environment, and we should/had to do it and I suppose as part of that, they do a gas line check, and Enbridge (Lakefield subcontracting) discovered two small leaks on the furnace and on the water heater connectors, and that we should call Enercare and they'd fix it right away for free because it was all their work, and their equipment. So Enercare comes and say no, no, it's not them, some and that it's going to cost some outrageous amount of money, and he's not here to fix it but to let us know we've got to pay. So the gas has been off since 9AM full family over here, and on top of the insane fee, they can't come until tomorrow night? Huh? Enbridge just told us it was their joints and fixtures (Enercare's, pictures below) and was their work (again esp since we'd had the furnace replaced 18 months ago and we just rent the hot water heater from them), and we also have a full maintenance and what we thought was full coverage on everything. There is so much more - with Enercare - which I will post another time, but want to keep this positive! Small businesses like Leaside Plumbing and Heating, and people like Matthew are where you gotta go. His only concern was our well being, and our safety and getting our gas going without compromising quality and safety. Thanks again to Matthew, and Leaside Plumbing and Heating for helping our family through this crazy situation. First two pictures (you can even see the Enercare tag saying my family is safe and this is A ok lol) of what it looked like before - remember this is after a brand new installation 18 months ago and a check up one month ago. I hope this review does well, not for my sake, but I want families and older folks and first time buyers to know they have options, that smaller businesses are a real option, and are run by real people, that care. Sales flow when your product and services are good/great, that's it. It's easy.

Quality scheduled work was completed on time, I still have more work for them. I paid what they quoted in a first place. They were first that popped up, as local business, and first that I called. This was my first time I called them, I am not disappointed. After second job is completed will include that in review, since it is bit more involved. Update. Remained work was completed well. All was good, everything works as it is intended to work. I am recommending them, wholeheartedly. Thanks.

Had a great experience with Leaside Plumbing and Heating. I needed a kitchen faucet replaced and quickly, as the old one was leaking. They came within a few hours and did a fantastic job. Also the price was reasonable. Would recommend!

Excellent, fast, reliable service from Leaside Plumbing. They are not inexpensive, but I can’t complain about anything. Keith was easy to communicate with, very clear in describing the issue and steps he was taking to fix it. Parts were ordered and arrived promptly and the return visit was booked and completed quickly.
